Almost a year has passed since the state murder of Jina (Mahsa) Amini and the beginning of the revolutionary uprising of the Iranian people. During this one year, as in the past 44 years, the government has tried to maintain the rotten foundations of its system by brutally suppressing protesters and dissidents, mass arrests of political and social activists, and mass and individual killings of fighters in prisons and on the streets.

It has been more than 1.5 years since the Handover of Power to the Taliban in Afghanistan by the US and NATO countries and more than 5 months since the revolutionary uprising in Iran. We welcome you to join forces and make noise on March 8th, 2023, the international day of feminist fights.

One of these crimes would be enough to not forgive and to not forget. On the 17th of September 1992, three agents of the Islamic Republic killed four people in a restaurant in the Prager Straße in Berlin with a machine gun:

Sadegh Scharafkandi, Fattah Abdoli, Homayoun Ardalan und Nouri Dehkordi.

The current situation in Iran is not acceptable. For weeks the state of Iran has been attacking the revolutionary movement and especially Kurdish and Baluch protesters with military forces.

While the blood of the people of Kurdistan is soaking the ground because of their resistance in the struggle against the anti-human regime and the apartheid regime and its allies are taking advantage of the silence of the media, we make it our task to fight against any kind of silence and forgetting with awareness and clarification. On Wednesday at 12 noon, we will gather in front of the Federal Press Conference to shout our anger against the historical oppression of the Kurdish people.

As you read these lines, Kurdistan’s sky is showered with bullets, and the blood of innocents is soaking its soil. Injured bodies and corpses have filled the Kurdish land; over the past three days at least 15 people, and over the past week at least 50 people have been killed by the Islamofascist regime. 

Seven weeks have passed since the beginning of the revolution in Iran. The protests and strikes that started simultaneously in Saqqez have now reached almost all places in Iran. Workers and trade unions called for a general strike from the first day.

Iran is covered in blood. Every moment is life or death. Every day, we face the unknown. We wake up not knowing if the blood of our loved ones will be shed in the street.

Zhina is a reminder of life and the struggle for freedom. The murder of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini was yet another attack in an endless line of state-sponsored bloodshed committed by the Islamic Republic against women*, non-binary, queer, and trans people.
